This isn’t anything new, but it’s one of the smallest devices I’ve seen that does the job and also one of the least complicated. Bonus, it doesn’t run over wifi so it doesn’t clog up your home network streaming audio.

The setup works pretty simply. Connected the transmitter (via usb) to any computer that’s going to play the music. You can then connect up to 3 receivers to anything that excepts audio inputs, like your TV, Stereo, MP3 Player or even another computer. The price is seems a little steep starting at at $149 for the starter kit which comes with 1 transmitter and 1 reciever. However, when you look at other solutions this is in the right price range for the market and has some advantages, like smaller size and easier use, over some of it’s competitors. if the quality is as as good as it sounds, this could be one of the best ways I’ve seen to stream audio throughout the house or office. Additional receivers are $70 each. Pick them up here.

When the device is paired along with another bluetooth device it seems to bleed power at an alarming rate and it seems especially pronounced with the Magic Mouse (also Apple). I just wish Apple would release a full size bluetooth keyboard. I don’t know what Apple’s obsession is with crippling touch typists, but that little keyboard is the worst.

Hopefully we’ll see a similar update for the Magic Mouse’s power issues. Apples previous bluetooth mouse was pretty horrible. From design to function, it was just a horrible. The only thing Apple like about it was it’s pearly white color. Apple is usually pretty slow to release these kinds of updates so it may be a while.
