The site lists cafes that offer wifi, power and the staff is friendly towards mobile users. I’d like to see the site expand to other venues besides cafes because more and more places are popping up with WiFi and enough space to prop up for an hour or so to get some work done on the go.

The other disadvantage, just like any app/site in the location business, the data is great if your in a major city but smaller cities have few listings. That’s just how things are. Hopefully, us early adopters can help populate that data for our areas making tools like these much more useful.

Update: At the time of this posting, the site is down. Hopefully a temporary thing.

While some things are still not as convenient as having your own space, we can still manage to have a pretty nice working setup on the go.

One of the biggest factors for me as a programmer is how to find quiet places to work. I consider myself a strong programmer but I’m not so good at doing it when lots of noise, including music I happen to love. For some reason, the logic part of my brain requires intense focus. Web Worker Daily suggests a few ways, including my favorite: noise canceling headphones, among others.

How do you find quiet time to work when you’re out in public spaces?
