TweeterBoard is a pretty new service that attempts to track the top 100 folks on Twitter. You can view the top 100, who’s popular today, this week, all time and who’s using the @ the most, along with a who’s gaining list. TweeterBoard’s about section says they are tracking about 2600 people at the moment and hopefully they’ll get it so they are tracking everyone. Now that I have a list of the top 100, I know who to add to my ‘following’ and try to get them to follow me so I can make the cut! ;)

Just a little quickie for Twitter Hacks readers: I whipped up 3 URL shortening domains using a script I found. I plan on doing some upgrades to it like adding stats and a few other things (api, etc.) but for now they work. Feel free to use them on Twitter or on your web sites!

TinyURL is down, or rather the url redirection has been. TinURL lets you shorten urls and many Twitter users make use of the service so they can post links and still keep their message under 140 chars. Tweetl is an alternative url shortening service aimed at Twitter users and naturally there is no shortage of alternatives. I own 3 or 4 domains that I plan on offering such services on myself! Need to get them bad boys setup!

TwitterCal, if it isn’t already obvious, lets you use Google Calendar via Twitter. Pretty soon I won’t even have to leave Twitter anymore. Not that I do, which I guess is a pretty sad statement itself ;)

FeedBlitz is a service that lets you send blog and rss feeds to email. It’s a great way to keep your users up to date without the headache of managing the software yourself. They’ve now added
updates via Twitter as an option to premium subscribers. The new feature lets people subscribe to your updates via Twitter.

Finally, something even the PC crowd can use: A plugin for Firefox that lets you post to twitter right from your browser. Pretty slick.

In the spirit of “digg me” and other social bookmarking tools, someone has made it very easy to add “TwitThis” links to your page so people can quickly generate a tinyurl link and send it to Twitter! Very slick. Check out the TwithThis site to get setup.
