Darren just posted 35 Twitter tips from 35 Twitter Users. Darren put out a call for tips and got 35 pretty solid tips. I don’t agree with all of them, but it’s a good read non the less.

Darren from Problogger.net writes 9 Benefits of Twitter for Bloggers. Darren lists 9 benefits he’s seen from using twitter, including using it as a Research Tool, Branding, and Promoting Content. I use Twitter in many of the same ways as Darren, though he’s way more popular than me so when he asks a question he’ll get 20 responses and I’ll get 1-ish. ;) I’m working on it!

Maki over at Dosh Dosh writes 17 Ways You Can Use Twitter: A Guide for Beginners, Marketers and Business Owners. The tips are a bit down the page after some observations about Twitter, which are also pretty good. I use Twitter pretty frequently, obviously, and I’ve use it for almost all 17 ways Maki outlines in this post. Here’s a short snippet from the article:

I started using it actively and gradually developed an avid interest. I think Twitter is a manageable process that can be adopted for all types of lifestyles, busy or inactive. You’ll just need to integrate it within your normal workflow. It’s addictive but once you understand how to use it, it’ll be a very effective tool indeed.

I’ve grown to use twitter in my blogging. Several stories have broke their before they even hit the major blogs and networking with other bloggers has been fun and entertaining at times. Any interesting ways you’ve used Twitter?

Chris Garrett wrote A Quick Introduction to Twitter for Bloggers, which is probably one of the best collections of advice for anyone new to Twitter that I’ve seen. While it doesn’t really get into the technical details, the quick intro is all about networking and using Twitter to take full advantage of it in terms of promoting yourself and your blog. Nice work.

Twitter announced today New Replies Settings. The new setting will let you tweak how you want to handle @ replies. You have 3 options: All Replies, Replies from people I’m following and None. The best one here is All Replies. There have been many times when I’m following someone and want to @ reply to them but I know they won’t see it because in the past they only got messages from those they follow. This way if someone is directing a message at you, even if you don’t follow them, you can choose to see those messages. Very nice update guys.

Carol has posted the best Twitter Guide that I’ve seen so far. If you are trying to introduce Twitter to friends or family, send them to Carol’s guide. It’s excellent. She took the time to really break things out into logical topics and even uses copious pictures to illustrate what’s happening.
